The entire body of the fish is slimy, making it difficult to clean. Today, I will show you how to clean catfish in a simple and easy way using home tips.

Necessary Materials for Cleaning Catfish:

  • 1 kg catfish (bought from the market)
  • A sharp knife
  • A small piece of wood
  • Plastic or other gloves
  • Blender machine
  • A pot
  • Some plastic bags

Today, I will show some homemade tips for cleaning catfish easily. Now let’s get started.

Step 1:

Materials:

  • 1 kg catfish
  • Salt
  • A knife
  • Fresh water
  • A big pot
  • A piece of wood
  • Blender machine
  • Small-sized papaya
  • Papaya leaves

Cleaning Method:

  • First, mix some salt with the catfish in a pot to make it easier to clean.
  • Boil 1 kg of catfish in fresh water and cut the head off with a sharp knife.
  • Use a blender to blend papaya skin and papaya leaves into a paste.
  • Rub the paste on the fish and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • You will notice the slimy coating coming off the fish.
  • After 10 minutes, wash the catfish in fresh water, and it will be clean and ready for cooking.

Step 2:

Materials:

  • Catfish
  • Burnt lime
  • A pot
  • Fresh water
  • Paper
  • A knife

Cleaning Method:

  • First, cut off the catfish’s head and wash it with fresh water.
  • Place the fish in a pot with a lid and add burnt lime. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, the fish will be clean, and the dirty water will come out.
  • Wash it again with fresh water, and the fish will turn white and be ready for cooking.

Step 3:

  • Catfish
  • Discarded tea leaves
  • A pot
  • Fresh water
  • Paper
  • A knife
  • Salt

Cleaning Method:

  • First, cut off the head and wash it with fresh water.
  • Mix 2 packs of tea leaves with the fish and let them sit for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, wash the catfish again with fresh water.
  • Rub some salt on the fish and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • The fish will be fresh and ready for cooking.
