A rainy day is the most important day of daily life. Every element has an effect on the rainy day. The clouds have been drizzling since morning. The sky has been very cloudy since morning. All around, the feeling is wet. The trees seem to be dressed anew. Tree leaves have turned green. At other times, leaves turn gray. There are no reasons; all around is dust and sand.

The rainy day is a little different from other days. This time, I want to sleep and rest all the time. Any work doesn’t seem appealing. I feel lazy and very lazy all the time. Lazy times surround me all day. The roads don’t have any people. Everyone is resting at home. All the people are staying indoors. Only those with essential needs go outside.

The working people face many problems due to the rainy day. The main problem is transport issues. Vehicles are fewer than on other days. Sometimes some vehicles come onto the road, but the occupants of these vehicles are very gloomy. Most workers face significant challenges. Many times the roads are filled with water. Moreover, the condition of day laborers is very poor on rainy days. Because they work by hand and month, they cannot work outside due to the rain. Their income source is very low on rainy days.

However, rainy days are very pleasant for many people. Wealthy people enjoy their rainy days and celebrate happily. They spend the time playing games. Most people enjoy different kinds of games at home. People spend their lazy time throughout the rainy day.

Advantages of a rainy day:

There are many advantages to a rainy day. Most of them are detailed below:

  • Those who have free time or no work can read books at home or enjoy the rain.
  • Many people think of luxury during the rain. Some people consider their future and go to a restaurant on a rainy day with loved ones.
  • Many households prepare different kinds of food and treats. Wealthy people make luxurious food at home.
  • The heat is very low on a rainy day. People rest at home and read various books.
  • Many people spend time on religious practices. Religious books are a main part of the rainy day. People visit mosques, temples, and churches.
  • Cloudy days are ideal for sleeping. It’s better to sleep during cloudy times.
  • Rainy days are tea times with friends. People spend time at small stalls and arrange short picnic parties with family members and relatives.
  • Rainy days are more attractive to children than other days.
  • Sitting by the window and looking at the scenery is very pleasant.

Disadvantages of a rainy day:

  • The roads are very muddy during the day. People don’t walk on the roads.
  • Common issues on rainy days include various diseases attacking people. Children’s illnesses, such as fever, cold, and cough, are particularly dangerous on rainy days.
  • Household furniture can be damaged on rainy days due to different insects.
  • The roads face heavy traffic jams.
  • Long jams are noticeable in city areas.
  • Due to the lack of a drainage system in the city, traffic jams are observed throughout the rainy day.
  • Mosquitoes attack on rainy days.
  • All stores are closed, so people cannot buy necessary things.

Home care on a rainy day:

Homes can get moldy on rainy days, so some precautions should be taken before and during the onset of rain:

  • At the start of the monsoon, use paint on doors, windows, and other furniture. In particular, all iron items should be painted.
  • If there is a crack in the wall, repair it immediately and use waterproof paint.
  • To prevent insects, keep furniture slightly away from the walls during the monsoon.
  • Flower tubs should be placed in the right position by the window.
  • Do not use carpets during the monsoon season as mud gets trapped underneath.
  • Clean your house daily. All furniture and metal items should be cleaned at least twice a day.
