The Asian open fish market is one of the biggest fish markets in the world. Southeast Asian countries are the epicenter of open fish markets. Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia host the most common open fish markets. Seafood is the most important part of an open fish market. Fishermen ensure that better quality fish is brought here. It stands at different kinds of highway roadside sites, big ponds, near big bazaars, small bazaars, and big trees. It’s always crowded here. The price of fish in this bazaar is very low. Different kinds of fish are collected here. This bazaar starts early in the morning and continues until late at night. There are two types of customers who are always seen here: one is the poor customer who doesn’t buy fresh and big fish, and the other is the customer who buys smaller-sized fish.

The fishermen who bring fish to this market are very poor people from low-income households. They leave their homes early in the night to collect fish and come to the bazaar early in the morning.
